There is a spa and pool, and the hill-hugging suites have air conditioning. They have a farm that produces 70 percent of the food they serve.

7. The Lodge at Big Falls

This is an intimate lodge that will put you near the heart of Maya country in southern Belize. It is set on the banks of the world-famous Rio Grande, where you can swim while iguanas sun on tree limbs. Three of the 9 cabanas of this Belize fishing lodge come with air conditioning.

8. Hickatee Cottages

10. Parrot Nest Lodge

For those who want to spend the night in a treehouse, this is the perfect choice for tourists. The Parrot Nest Lodge is located on the Mopan River in Bullet Tree Falls. All in all, this relatively inexpensive lodge is pretty basic, but 2 out of its 9 cabanas are built in the treetops.
